We are pleased today’s Thermal Imaging and condition monitoring presentation in support of the University of Suffolk Lowestoft campus Foundation Degree course in Operations Engineering went ahead without any technical glitch or undue anxiety.
It is Geo Therm Ltd’s second year sponsoring the FdSc problem solving module. Student teams compete for a winners cup and individual cut glass trophies, after designing, building and presenting their working generator prototypes in-front of a formal judging panel. The FdSc foundation year is the progression route to the BEng (Hons) Operations Engineering.
With 17 mature students participating, many in full time employment and electing for a day release from their employers to attend this successful course. The morning class was certainly enjoyable for our MD Tony Dale and module tutor Dr. Adrian Durrant; highlighting the technology, science and benefits of thermal imaging communicated via a power point presentation, case-studies and hands-on thermal infrared camera use, and a question and answer period at the end of the class.
We would like to thank the University of Suffolk Lowestoft Campus and FdSc students for the opportunity to showcase Geo Therm Ltd’s technical abilities and strongly encourage persons interested in engineering to enroll onto this stimulating course.
