We are delighted to inform you that Seadrill Limited management has awarded Geo Therm Ltd the contract to perform the West Jupiter DP3 drillship with its first Thermographic Survey. The ultra-deepwater drillship is currently working in the Gulf of Guinea, off Port Harcourt, Nigeria on a 5 year contract for Total Upstream Nigeria Ltd, in support of the EGINA ultra-deep offshore project. The vessel-wide electrical biased IRT Thermographic Survey is planned to go ahead before the end of the 1st Qtr 2017.

The West Jupiter is one of eight 6th generation drillships owned by Seadrill. The vessel was delivered from the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in Geoje, South Korea in August 2014, and has since worked in the Bay of Guinea. The West Jupiter can work in water depths up to 12,000ft and drill to depths up to 37,500ft. The vessel has the IMO number: 9655030. (TD)
