Geo Therm Ltd are delighted to receive confirmation from management aboard the Well-Safe Guardian of furture inspection works, beginning the 2nd Qtr of 2026.
The Well Safe Guardian is a Earl & Wright 700 series midwater semi-submersible, IMO: 8025989. The rig is a specialized semi-submersible drilling unit converted by Well-Safe Solutions for subsea well decommissioning, plug and abandonment (P&A) operations and is the only MODU in the North Sea featuring a permanent D300 saturation dive system and modular decommissioning capabilities, allowing it to work on aging, complex, or legacy wellheads.
The Geo Therm Ltd Thermographic Survey visit to the Well Safe Guardian is penned to coincide with P&A works in the North Sea. The electical biased thermographic survey is used as part of its annual PM requirement to identify extreme component temperatures before a downtime incident occurs.
