The management on board the jack-up rig Valaris Ju-72 (previously known as the Ensco 72) has confirmed Geo Therm Ltd will complete its annual IRT survey this October.
The rig is currently working in the southern sector of the UKCS and contracted to begin a 4-year P&A campaign for ENI in the Irish Sea. The Valaris Ju72 is a Hitachi 300C design rig, with an IMO number: 8750338 and when working is home to 90 offshore crew.
The electrical biased Thermographic Survey on the Valaris Ju-72 is used to identify the early signs of heat generation in critical equipment, identifying high resistance connections and components, to prevent failure and outages.
