We are excited to confirm that management aboard the Stena IceMax drillship has awarded its electrical biased offshore Thermographic (IRT) Survey to Geo Therm Ltd, with the survey originally penned to start in late September 2025 while it is working in the Gulf of America for BP, however, due to logistical reasons the survey has now been slated for its transit from the Canaries to Egypt in Jan 2026, (updated 29th Dec 2025)
The Stena IceMax is a modern 6th Generation harsh environment, dual-activity DP3 drillship, capable of drilling in water depths up to 10,000 feet; and is one of five drillships within the Stena fleet, and one semi-submersible.
