Geo Therm Ltd management are delighted that the technical team at the West Sussex energy-from-waste plant – one of the largest of its kind in the UK and Europe has awarded Geo Therm Ltd with its fourth consecutive thermographic (IRT) survey.
Owned and operated by Biffa, this state-of-the-art Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) and Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility in Hornsea has the capacity to treat 312,000 tonnes per annum of waste, diverting recyclable and biodegradable material from landfill, to improve recycling and reuse within the region. The Geo Therm Ltd IRT survey is planned to start in November 2020.
In total, the facility reduces waste going to landfill by up to 80% enabling it to generate up to 3.5MW, enough to power 7000 homes. Geo Therm Ltd MD Tony Dale is delighted to be part of this creative means to generate energy from waste, as it satisfies the companies working in partnership approach in supporting a diverse energy generating industry for the nation.
