Excellent news as Geo Therm Ltd receives confirmation to visit the Valaris Ju122 in the late 4th Quarter of 2025 to attend to its rigorous annual electrical PM performed by a third party Thermographic (IRT) Survey company.
This IRT survey is an annual PM requirement, tailored to locate rig high resistance electrical issues early, to mitigate against outages and prevent service and drilling disruption.
The Valaris Ju122 is a modern three legged super “A” class rig, purposely designed to drill in harsh environments. It has an International Maritime Organisation (IMO) number: 8771629 and ABS Class: ABS-A1-MODU. The rig can operate in waters to 450ft deep and drill down to depths of 35,000ft.
The Geo Therm Ltd thermographic survey is penned to take no longer than one week, and intended to be completed while the rig is alongside the Jackdaw platform in the UKCS operated by the offshore energy major Shell.
