Geo Therm Ltd are delighted to receive confirmation on our first offshore works with Borr Drilling. With our services covering offshore inspection works, intended to commence late in August.

Borr Drilling is Geo Therm Ltd’s most recent client and providing our first survey visit to Gabon West Africa, onto the Norve jack-up rig. This is a triple first! The scope of works include our renown Thermographic IRT Surveys, covering rig wide electrical systems used to support rig PM’s to identify high resistance hot spots that can cause outages if left unattended. The survey will commence while the Norve rig is working for BW Energy, offshore Gabon.

The Norve rig is a three legged jack-up rig, built in 2011 at the PPL shipyard in Singapore. It is capable of operating in water depths of up to 400 ft. The maximum drilling depth the rig can reach is a huge 30,000 ft depth. The rig is of PPL Pacific Class 400 design and can accommodate 150 people with an IMO number 9599690 and ABS Classification.

The Borr Drilling company has over 20 rigs operating over the entire globe, with the rig fleet comprising modern jack-up with high specification designs, and services focused on the shallow water segment to the offshore oil and gas industry worldwide.
