Geo Therm Blog

Under floor heating is fast becoming a norm to have retro-fitted inside homes and new builds. Under floor heating works by laying either electrical cabling or pumping a controlled flow of warm water, from any heat source, through tubing embedded in the floor. Because the emitting area is large, sufficient warmth is provided across the whole floor surface heating the room effectively.

Like any component, issues do occur. Leaks from under floor heating pipe work are extremely frustrating with water always following the path of least resistance meaning that where it accumulates is not necessarily the source of the leak. This is where Geo Therm can aide you, by locating the exact source of the leak. The thermal image camera will also be able to see the exact heat pattern radiating from the installed electrical or piping conduit, to determine if there is a system or routing deficiency, making sure you achieve 100% efficiency from your under floor heating.

A thermal imaging survey is a non-destructive way to pin-point water leaks or ineffective routing without having to dig up the entire flooring. Call us now to see how we can help you! (SL)
