Geo Therm Ltd are delighted to confirm our second annual thermographic survey on the ENSCO 5004. This semi-submersible rig is currently working off Libya, with mobilisation via Malta MLA airport. The Ensco 5004 is a Friede & Goldman 9500 Enhanced Pacesetter, a 3rd generation rig and built by FRAMNÆS MEK VÆRSTED, stand-fjord, Norway, (with a DNV Classification and IMO #8751033). The thermal infrared survey is to go ahead in mid December and is needed to comply with the rigs comprehensive annual PM requirement used to prevent unwarranted outages in the drilling and rig wide electrical systems.

The ENSCO 5004 is one of seventeen semi-submersibles owned by ENSCO from a rig count of seventy offshore rigs, and one of the world’s largest drilling companies and rated first in customer total satisfaction over the last five years. The Ensco 5004 is capable of drilling to 25,000ft in a water depth of 1,500ft; accommodating some 120 offshore personnel. The Ensco 5004 is currently drilling for Mellitah Oil and Gas.
