Geo Therm Ltd are delighted that its first 2024 work scope begins on the inaugural sailing of the Stena Evolution drillship, in readiness for its 5 year deployment in the Gulf of Mexico for Shell, beginning in the 2nd Qtr.

The Geo Therm Ltd workscope will consist of retro-fitting over 400 Cordex infrared windows, (Type IW4000) to vessel wide switchboards and transformers. Making all future electrical biased thermographic surveys safer and more efficient, moreover, compliant with the NFPA 70B guidelines.

Also included within the workscope will be carrying out a thermographic survey using a FLIR infrared camera. The workscopes are to be completed during the Stena Evolutons sailing from Korea to South Africa, which is penned for mid January to late February. Thereafter the Geo Therm Ltd two-man installation team will return to the UK.

The Stena Evolution was built in Korea by Samsung Heavy Industries, it is a seventh generation drillship with an IMO number: 9744350, and sailing under the flag of the Marshall Islands. For additional information visit Stena Drilling here: https://www.stena-drilling.com/
