The Lowestoft College Employer Marketplace is held to enable employers and students to productively engage in conversations that inform the student of career choices and energise the students into thinking about their future career paths.
Geo Therm Ltd would like to say a huge thank you to Bob Beard, Ferlin Quantrill and the team at Lowestoft College for the invitation to the Employment Marketplace event. It was a resounding success for us as a company – in terms of meeting potential apprentices and even provided networking opportunities with some of the other companies present.
Whilst attending the event, our surveyor and ex Lowestoft College student – Simeon Lee, was approached by BBC Radio Suffolk for an interview to describe what it was like to be a student approaching the stands and discussing future opportunities with the attending companies, in which he provided his story and gave some great advice. Here is the link to the Simeon’s Radio Interview; His story appears around the 1 hour 54 minute mark: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03f8gy3#play
We all enjoyed ourselves very much and were greatly encouraged by the quality of the students we chatted with. We strongly encourage other companies to attend this event, moreover those qualified engineering students interested in working for Geo Therm Ltd to follow our social network sites, and regularly look at our website blog section for all future posts and career opportunities.(SL/TD)
