We are delighted that Ensco Plc, a global provider in offshore drilling services have confirmed Geo Therm Ltd is to go-ahead for the annual IRT inspection on the Ensco 120 jack-up rig. The Thermographic Survey is penned to begin mid-January and undertaken as part of the rigs comprehensive electrical PM regime.
The Ensco 120 is an enhanced versions of Keppel’s KFELS Super A Class design, the rig sets a new standard in the harsh environment category, featuring equipment and capability previously found only in the largest rigs in the class. It is designed to operate in a variety of environments in water depths up to 400 feet and can drill to depths of 40,000 feet for the most demanding large multi-wells.
The Ensco 120 is currently working in the UKCS, alongside the Jasmin platform UK/30/07a some 120km due east of Aberdeen, drilling for ConocoPhillipsUK.
