We are delighted the management on board the Valaris Ju-123 rig has contracted Geo Therm Ltd to provide its 2023 annual Thermographic Survey, with our offshore inspection services to begin in the second quarter during top-hole operations for ONE-Dyas in the Netherlands.
Built at the Keppel Fells shipyard in Singapore the Valaris Ju-123 is a three-legged independent cantilever mobile offshore drilling unit that has been in service since 2019.
The requirement is for Geo Therm Ltd surveyor to perform the electrical biased thermographic (IRT) survey PM to identify high resistance hot spots in energised systems, to detect for early signs of equipment failure.
The rig is a series super “A” class and designed to drill in harsh environments. It has an International Maritime Organisation (IMO) number: 9721396 and ABS Class: ABS-A1-MODU.
The Ju-123 can operate in waters to 450ft deep and drill to depths of 35,00ft. The Geo Therm Ltd scope of works will be completed offshore Den Helder, Holland.
