We are once again delighted to perform the electrical IR inspection for the offshore drilling contractor ENSCO on their high specification, harsh environment jack-up rig the E122. The Ensco 122 is currently working for Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij B.V. (NAM), offshore the Netherlands.
A Geo Therm Ltd service engineer will perform the survey over a proposed four day time frame, to identify electrical high-resistance hot-spot anomalies in critical power systems, using thermal infrared imaging equipment, to prevent any unwarranted outages and breakdowns. The inspection is planned to go ahead in early November.
The Ensco 122 is a Keppel FELS Ultra Enhanced Super-A jack-up rig, built in Singapore and delivered in 2014. This rig is capable of operating in 400ft water depth and drilling to depths of 40,000ft. It has an ABS Classification and an IMO number # 8771629. (TD)
