We are delighted that the Stena Drilling has chosen Geo Therm Ltd to perform its forthcoming Thermographic Survey on the Stena Spey semi-submersible rig. This exciting business opportunity is a first between Geo Therm Ltd and Stena Drilling and penned to begin in early Jan 2022.
The Stena Spey is a Friede & Goldman L907 (enhanced Pacesetter) twin pontoon, column-stabilized, semi-submersible offshore drilling unit. The Stena Spey is able to operate in water depths of 1,500ft and is one of two semi-submersibles and 4 drill-ships owned by Stena Drilling.
The Thermographic Survey is designed to support the electrical department preventative maintenance needs, to address high resistance concerns that if left unchecked could lead to unwarranted breakdowns.
