Members of Geo Therm Ltd team were once again attending Lowestoft University Campus, this time to become judge and jury for undergraduate Engineering students studying the FdSc Research & Problem Solving Module, with very our MD Tony Dale helping to preside over the module, accompanied by five other members of UCS staff.
The awards were presented by our MD to the 4 person winning team calling themselves “Pelton Power” who thoroughly researched, designed, engineered and built a working generator (driven by a water driven Pelton turbine). The comprehensive engineering remit was beautifully executed and presented, with a high level of individual and group knowledge, and clear concise presentation and a superbly crafted and fully working generator.
A proud day for all those students who took part in this demanding module, including the college and Dr. Adrian Durrant the module tutor. Geo Therm Ltd are proud to have sponsored this academic module and will do so on an annual basis. The winning cup will be on display at the Lowestoft College from 1st June. (SL/TD)
