Geo Therm ltd are delighted to received confirmation for an Ex inspection on the Blythe NUI platform in the southern sector of the North Sea. The electrical Ex inspection is a specialized inspection focused on ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical equipment used in hazardous areas; preventing potential ignition sources – a key concern in the oil and gas industry. The inspection is penned to start in mid August with two Geo Therm Ltd inspectors shuttling from Norwich. The Blythe is a normally unmanned installation, owned by IOG and installed in 2021 with Geo Therm Ltd supporting the services of ODE (Oil & Gas Design Engineering) Asset Management company who provide operations, maintenance, and other support services for the platform.
