Another first for Geo Therm Ltd as the latest jack-up rig in the Valaris Plc fleet requests Geo Therm Ltds reknown  condition monitoring services during its first contract. The Valaris 123 rig is the latest in the line of harsh environment jack-up rigs direct from the Keppel Fells, Singapore.  An enhanced version of Keppel’s KFELS Super A Class design rig.

Valaris Plc (formaly EnscoRowan) is the world largest offshore drilling company, providing services across all water depths and geographies. Operating a rig fleet of ultra-deepwater drillships, semi-submersibles and shallow water jack-ups, with drilling experiance in most major offshore oil and gas basins.

The Geo Therm Ltd scope of works include the installation of the award winning CorDEX infrared inspection windows to various transformers and engine generator covers.

Installation aids thermographic (IRT) thermal imaging inspections without the need to open vital pieces of equipment that are often missed during inspections, due to the risk of high voltages and arc-flash potential.  The installation highlights Valaris Plc and the 123 rig managements proactive commitment to preventative maintenance, moreover workplace safety needs.

The Valaris E123 rig is currently working for Premier Oil  in the North Sea.  Primier Oil  Plc is an independent UK oil and gas company devoted entirely to the upstream sector of the industry – the exploitation of oil and gas.

The Valaris 123 rig is the fourth version of the company’s 120 customised series of jackup rigs, capable of operating in water depths up to 400 feet and designed to drill to total depths of 40,000 feet. The rig has an ABS Calssification and IMO #9721396.
