Geo Therm Ltd are delighted to communicate our continued commitment with Jotun Paints as a team of inspectors prepare themselves for the companys’ first foray into Pakistan, planned for late Jan/early Feb 2019. The Jotun paints group have two factories located in 1. Lahore – Pakistan’s principle northern city in the Punjab province and the countrys’ second largest populated city after Karachi, and at 2. in the southern and most cosmopolitan ‘city of lights’ in Pakistan’s Sindh province, Karachi on the Arabian Sea.
The Lahore factory manufacture’s electrostatic dry powder coatings and wet paints for decorative coatings, principally for the Pakistan domestic market. Jotun Paints have been operating in Pakistan since 1995. Geo Therm Ltd will perform three inspections at each facility: 1. Thermographic (IRT), 2. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), and 3. Elect/Ex inspection. The inspections are planned to be undertaken consecutively, with a total of one week in country.
Jotun Paints Co is the ninth largest paint manufacturer in the world, the Norwegian owned company has over 30 paint production factories worldwide, and represented in 100 countries across all continents. Geo Therm Ltd have the Middle East Indian and Asian (MEIA) regional contract to provide its electrical third party inspection support services, used to great effect to assist each factory and operating facility with their preventative maintenance and reliability programmes.
