We have more good news from Ensco, and another great start to the New Year as Geo Therm Ltd confirms management on the newly built E120, a Keppel FELS built harsh environment jack-up rig opts for our infrared (IRT) inspection.
This jack-up rig, an enhanced version of the KFELS Super A design can operate in water depths up to 400 feet, and designed for multi-well platform programs, ultra-deep gas programs and ultra-long reach wells up to 40,000-ft. total drilling depth. The ENSCO 120 has an IMO# 9621479.
The IRT inspection is planned for this week, needed to comply with the rigs annual PM requirement. The rig is currently working for Conoco-Philips in the Central North Sea, some 250km due west of Aberdeen, Scotland. (TD)
