Geo Therm Ltd are delighted to confirm our third consecutive annual Thermographic Survey on the semi-submersible rig the ENSCO 5004. The survey is planned to start late November. The rig is currently working some 20 nautical miles off the Libyan coast, with mobilization going through Malta MLA airport.

The Ensco 5004 is a Friede & Goldman 9500 Enhanced Pacesetter, a 3rd generation rig and built by FRAMNÆS MEK VÆRSTED, stand-fjord, Norway, (with a DNV Classification and IMO #8751033). The thermal infrared survey is needed to comply with the rigs comprehensive annual PM requirement, used to prevent unwarranted outages in the drilling and rig wide electrical systems.

ENSCO is one of the world’s largest drilling companies, with the Ensco 5004 being capable of drilling to 25,000ft in a water depth of 1,500ft and accommodate some 120 offshore personnel. The Ensco 5004 is currently drilling for Mellitah Oil and Gas. (SL)
