We are delighted to announce that Ensco management has confirmed Geo Therm Ltd will undertake the annual Thermographic and Ex Inspections on the Ensco 72 offshore drilling jack-up rig in April and May 2019. The Thermographic survey is to take place during sea trails off the Hartlepool coast and the Ex inspection when next on location in the North Sea.
The inspections ensure company preventative maintenance programmes are adhered to, helping to maintain its high standards in maintenance, safety and environmental records, following its last high-profile deployment off the Dorset coast earlier this year.
The Ensco 72 is a compact yet very capable rig with a successful drilling history, built by Hitachi in Japan it has an ABS Classification and IMO number: 870338. It can accommodate 90 persons, and able to work in a max water depth of 300ft and drill to depths down to 25,000ft. (TD)
