We are pleased to announce the offshore Thermographic Survey continuation for Geo Therm Ltd’s fifth survey on board the Dolphin Drilling semi-submersible drilling rig the Borgsten Dolphin. This electrical biased survey is regularly used to comply with Dolphin Drilling’s preventive maintenance need, to identify the early onset of high temperature electrical issues likely to prevent failure and outage.

The Borgsten Dolphin is currently working for TOTAL E&P UK Ltd in the North Sea, alongside the Dunbar platform. The survey is penned to start in week 22, late May 2016.

Built by Nylands Mek Verksted at the Aker Nylands shipyard in Oslo Norway to the Aker H-3 design. The Borgsten Dolphin is an enhanced second generation, DNV Class 1A1 propulsion assisted column stabilised MODU, with the ability to operate to depths of 1,500ft and drill to depths of 20,000ft. The Borgsten Dolphin has an International Maritime Organisation (IMO) number 8750546.
