Geo Therm Ltd find ourselves with additional inspection work during the 4th quarter as Valaris the premier offshore drilling company offers another top spec jack-up rig for our inspection services. The Valaris (Gorilla V) rig 047, is currently working in the North Sea for the oil and gas major Total.
The LeTourneau built three-legged jack-up rig with an IMO: 8764262 is registered and sailing under the flag of Marshall Islands and was recently awarded an eight-month work extension from March 2020 to November 2020.
Our offshore engine room exhaust and generator thermographic inspection is penned for late October. This tried and trusted non-invasive inspection method is used successfully through-out the Valaris rig fleet, identifying failing electrical components or exposed (non-insulated) engine exhaust surfaces, without interrupting its work duty activities.
